2025 was a year full of creative impulses, exciting encounters, and diverse exhibitions for us at ORFÈVRE. We would like to sincerely thank you for your loyalty, your interest, and the many inspiring conversations that accompanied us throughout the year.
Earlier this spring, the exhibition BOX IS A BOX IS A BOX IS A BOX explored the multifaceted concept of the box. Inspired by Gertrude Stein and the question “Is a box ever just a box?”, the exhibition examined the box as an everyday object, a metaphor, and a container of memory. The box appears as a space of protection and order, a keeper of secrets and valuables, and a threshold between the ordinary and the extraordinary.
Works by Anna Søgaard, Lisa Scherebnenko, Melina Sutter, Oscar Hamish Tulloch, Selmeci Kocka Jusko, and Walter Wittek were presented in dialogue with jewelry by Lisa Scherebnenko and Peter Hassenpflug.
With SILBERSOMMER, ORFÈVRE revives a long-standing tradition and places a material at the center that has fascinated for centuries. Silver is noble and headstrong, adaptable and full of character.
The exhibition brings together works by regional and international jewelry designers, goldsmith studios, and artists who reflect on jewelry in their practice. Their approaches are as diverse as their techniques: some finely crafted, others left raw; some narrative, others abstract. What unites them is a passion for the material and a curiosity about what can emerge from it.
ES GIBT KEINE ZIMMERPFLANZEN was a quiet yet powerful exhibition that brought together the sculptural ceramics of Fritz Adamski and plants in an unexpected way.
Adamski’s ceramics served not as neutral containers but as assertive vessels for unusual, often unruly plants that resisted the aesthetics of conventional houseplants. Together, ceramics and plants challenged familiar ideas of domestic space and nature, blurring the boundary between decoration and living presence, between interior and wilderness.
The year concluded with a celebratory presentation of works by WALTER WITTEK, the inventor of the iconic tension ring. At a public reception in November, his jewelry pieces and sculptures were showcased, compellingly demonstrating how art and craftsmanship can merge into a unified practice.
Beyond the exhibitions, 2025 offered a wide range of jewelry and objects—from the ROPE Collection to refined works in gold, silver, and tantalum, as well as handcrafted one-of-a-kind pieces. With your support, we were able to continue shaping ORFÈVRE as a place for exceptional works, artistic perspectives, and personal consultation.
We now look ahead with enthusiasm to the coming year, in which we hope to surprise you once again with new collections, inspiring artists, and special exhibitions. Thank you for being part of our story—we look forward to sharing 2026 with you.
